About the ALA

The Appellate Lawyers Association, which was formed in 1968, is an association of lawyers who practice in the courts of review, and of judges who serve on those courts. Three-quarters of the Association’s 365 active members are from the Chicago area. The group’s honorary members include sitting judges from all the reviewing courts in Illinois.
